Q01Is LiftMax free?+

Yes. The full app — workouts, ranks, AI calories, leaderboards — is free. We may add an optional Pro tier later for deeper analytics; the core will always stay free.

Q02How does the rank system work?+

Every logged set earns XP weighted by intensity (RPE), volume (weight × reps), and PR proximity. XP accumulates across ten tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, then five specialist Legend tiers.

You don't lose XP for missing a day. There are no streak penalties. The system rewards real work.

Q03How does AI calorie tracking work?+

Tap the camera icon, point it at your plate, and the vision model returns an estimate with macros in about a second. You can tweak portion sizes with a slider.

Photos are processed in memory and discarded immediately — see privacy policy §04.

Q04How do I add friends?+

Two ways: search by username in the Friends tab, or share your QR code to invite people in-person. Requests require mutual acceptance before any data is visible.

Q05How do I delete my account?+

In-app: Profile → Settings → Data → Delete account. Your data is permanently removed within 30 days. You can also email support@getliftmax.app with the subject "Delete account."

Want a copy before you go? Hit Export data in the same menu — it downloads a JSON bundle of everything.

Q06I forgot my password.+

Tap Forgot password on the login screen and enter your email. A reset link arrives within a minute. If you don't see it, check spam, then contact us.

Q07Can I import data from another app?+

We support CSV import for workout history from Strong, Hevy, and RepCount. Find it under Profile → Data → Import. Rank XP backfills from the imported history automatically.

Q08Is my data safe?+

All traffic uses TLS 1.3. Storage runs on Google Firebase with infrastructure-grade encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed with Argon2. We do not sell your data, and we never will.

Q09Will there be an Apple Watch app?+

Yes — it's in beta. Join the TestFlight cohort via Profile → Beta program. Android Wear ships next quarter.

Q10Can I hide my rank from friends?+

Yes. Profile → Privacy → Hide rank from friends. Your XP still counts toward promotion; only the public display is hidden.

Q11How often do you ship updates?+

Minor fixes: weekly. Feature drops: roughly every three weeks. Changelog lives at liftmax.app/changelog.
